I oversee KCRW's Independent Producer Project where my main goals are to cultivate new talent and create innovative sound. 

  • Field audio pitches and cultivate relationships with emerging talent.

Audience development | terrestrial podcast                                

April 2017 - December 2017


terrestrial was a national podcast from NPR member station KUOW. It launched May 2, 2017 and quickly rose to No. 14 on the science vertical in Apple Podcasts. I was contracted pre-launch to create long-term digital strategy.


  • Oversaw implementation of social media strategy; created long-term training materials.

  • Built community via terrestrial’s Facebook group; tested  features to drive engagement.

  • Edited and trained the terrestrial team on brand strategy and social media visuals.


Audience editor | L.A. Weekly.                                                     

February 2017 - November 2017


Critical player in shaping editorial products while building audience for L.A.’s alt-weekly, which received 3.7 million unique visitors per month.  


  • Worked with editorial, product and design on rollout of projects like the annual People Issue.

  • Ran social media accounts; disseminated lessons learned to Village Voice’s seven alt weeklies.

  • Initiated strategic partnerships with publications such as Curbed L.A. to increase digital reach.

  • Tracked real time analytics using Chartbeat. Used metrics to inform decisions and shape products.


Project manager | California Counts                                                         

March 2016 - February 2017


I launched California Counts, a collaboration with 25 journalists across four NPR affiliates to cover the 2016 election. In this role, I served as the liaison between the editorial, engineering and product teams at each station. I established deadlines, maintained product timelines, disseminated info across teams and coordinated daily needs. I was also a critical player is adapting radio stories for a digital audience.


  • Co-produced four town halls; incorporated audio from our digital audience into live-to-tape scripts.

  • Managed communication among editors and developers to build NPR’s CMS.

  • Ensured content and UX priorities were fulfilled in partnering with Maplight on a mobile voter guide.

  • Grew digital audience via emerging social platforms.

  • Measured analytics to ensure best reach (Google, Twitter, Facebook, Nielsen).

  • Worked with developers and trained staff to use NPR's fact-checking tool.

  • Co-created this video to kick off social media crowdsourcing. It appeared on web, radio and TV.

  • Led a team of social media and digital editors to optimize stories and streamline storytelling.
